Bamboo Fly Rods
The crafting of our rods is not rushed; quality,
not volume, is our concern. Like most makers, we start with Tonkin Cane. Its
toughness,
strength, and dense power fibers make it incredibly strong and
durable. Many makers, though, flame their rods; some because they like the
look, others because it hides imperfections. We don’t flame (unless the
customer requests this); instead, we scrutinize each culm and only use those
that are "clear" and free of imperfections. In addition, each rod is
made from the same culm, which makes it a uniform, well-balanced fishing
instrument.
We hand-make many of our components, which give our fly rods a unique and elegant, but simple appearance. We use genuine silk thread for the whippings that look as though they are painted on. The node spacing is perfect, and the two matching tip sections that come with each rod are an identical match to each other. Each rod is finished with several coats of hand-rubbed spar varnish that is absolutely flawless. All of our bamboo fly rods come with two tip sections, a rod sock, ferrule plug(s), and a durable aluminum tube.

investment that will be handed down from generation to generation. With that in
mind, we want you to be 
completely satisfied with your purchase. When you
purchase one of our rods, you can return it for a full refund within 10 days
from delivery if for any reason you are not satisfied. Our rods also have a 10
year warranty that covers repairs or replacement due to normal use. Rods damaged
due to neglect can be repaired for a flat fee. This same warranty applies
to our new Ice
Cane bamboo ice fishing rods as well.
